This is week13, zomg.
What's left: advertising presentation on friday, and one stupid research assignment due 2 weeks later (in the midst of exam period how smart).

I'm only beginning to panic a little with the fact that I have merely 1.5 weeks to mug for 3 modules, after which I'll have a one week hiatus to study for the other two mods.

OMG to actually put it down in words made me realise how scary it sounds!
Am panicking a lil' more now.

Nevertheless, I shall go catch the latest epis of bbt, himym, gg and 90210 before proceeding with all else. HA!

At my grandma's birthday dinner last night, I managed to have a brief chat with my uncle. Apparently he wrote a book and it was launched recently.

He gave me a free copy and signed for me hahaha. Told me to introduce it to my friends (hence this post). Flipped through the pages and spotted some interesting content. For those who intend to pursue the media industry, this is a good book to have!!

Some background info about my uncle, he's a former journalist and news editor at Business Times, and later went on to UOB as head of comms and investor relations. He's currently a media consultant and trainer.

I shall take him as my inspiration and role model!! ((:

Sizzling and burning.

It was one hell of madness from morning to evening yesterday. One group report due and presentation for another module. Was rushing to finalise the report and rehearsing for another module's presentation simultaneously. 45min late for lecture but better late than never. Presentation went better than expected though. Printing was a bitch and waste of money. And finally managed to breathe at 4.45pm after everything.

But amidst all that, he's actually inspirational, especially in the field of uniting the world through music.

I was never an MJ fan, but I think everyone should watch it.

And today's halloween, but totally not in the mood this year. Wt said everyone else is damn happening and going for parties except NUS students. Yes we have no life!! Was initially planning to go either zouk or butter with the uni clan but we decided that we're too busy and lazy for it! I think last year was enough for me, really can't be bothered to go through the same routine again.

Really hating school these days!!! I feel that my brain is so saturated by all the infomation I wish there weren't any more topics taught for this semester.

I know how ironic it is that I can't wait to get back to studying when I was working. But now I seriously just wanna graduate ASAP! Still pondering about whether to take up honours. If I don't I'll graduate in exactly one year's time.

Second half of the semester is passing by real slowwwww.

The boy "forced" me to watch this really old jap movie called "Battle Royale" today. He told me to TRUST him and that i'd really like it. Hahaha. Ok it turns out to be kinda awesome. One of the coolest movie I've caught. Real epic concept. bb knows me best =D

Couldn't get in for the javanese performance at UCC today. grrr. what's going to happen to our 10% report for SE2221. To think that I wasted money cabbing down from the boy's place.

Hang out with yy, cheryl and jd at sunset way. truly a hidden gem!!! Went for some awesome ice-cream and we can't stop complaining how limjd has been MIA. Cabbed home after! GOSH! I needa find a perm part-time job cos i'm beginning to get used to the feeling of spending money incessantly (like the good old working days).

Gave yanyi a birthday surprise and caught "the blue mansion", a local film. Didn't quite like it cos I felt it was too melodramatic. I was half cringing most of the time. And the twist at the end was kinda DUH. It'd have been good as a theatrical production, not on-screen.

Though the night was full of impromptu decisions, it turned out to be awesome still.

Went Zhou's Kitchen for hi-tea buffet to celebrate out 10th month. <3<3 ((:

Drove down to sarah's 21st birthday chalet and got kinda lost.
Seriously hate the changi area. It's like uber dark, ulu and quiet.
Got there about 7.45pm.

There was a KTV competition (LOL!!) which stretched from 8pm till 10pm!!
I'm amazed at the number of thick-skin people who were willing to sing in front of so many people (I'm one of them HAHAHA)!!!

anyways there was a mini prize ceremony at the end of it hahaha and I clinched 2nd runner up for the singing competition HAHAHA. Don't ask me things like I bet there are only 3 people who took part right cos I think there were at least 20? Got a mini trophy and a bottle of Baileys!!! YAYY.

Thats about it for the weekend!!!
And it's week 9 tomorrow. Some major projects and assignments to clear soon!!

Pearl suggested something and initially I was kinda hesitant about it, but hopefully our idea will eventually work out love!! hahaha.

The movie was beyond awesome.

It's like the bloodiest and most gruesome movie I've ever watched/will ever watch in my life. Basically 90% of the movie was covered with blood. This is seriously NOT for the weak-hearted. It's the kind of movie wherea typical unsuspecting audience would end up walking out of the theatre in the middle of the show.

But if you remain strong and sit in throughout, you'll be rewarded with an awesome movie experience.

the birthday boy.

Celebrated the boy's birthday one day in advance on saturday cos I had to stay home and study on sunday (arghhhh screwww mid-terms!). Mission #1 was to surprise him with a cake at his place.

You know anything that can go wrong will go wrong; after i struggled to place the candles on the cake, (outside his place) I prepared to light the candles and THE LIGHTER DIDN'T WORK! I was so angry with the provision shop auntie who cheated me!!! Wanted to go back down to demand a new one but I decided it's too troublesome to "repack" the cake.

So I basically greeted him with a cake with unlit candles. Grrrr. Damn retarded.

Lighted it at his place so that he can make a wish HAHAHA.

And mission #2 was to bring him to the ZOO.

He didn't know where we're going and I had to make sure he didn't peep while we were on our way. Even after we got there, he looked around and said "I still don't know where's this place."

Major fail.

This elephant babe's name is KOMALI.
Anyways Komali was happily throwing sand onto her back using her trunk, and eventually shaking the sand off her body. And she does it repeatedly. SUPER SELF-ENTERTAIN RIGHT?!!!

and I have no idea what this other elephant is doing. I reckon it's his way of self-entertaining.
But they were so adorable baby and I spent quite some time standing there and watching them.
pleasantly amused.

Can't remember the last time I went to the zoo. Probably when I was 4 or 5 years old.
Really enjoyed myself this time, especially with all the trivias which I wouldn't have better appreciate when I was there as a kid.

Mission #3 was to bring the boy for dinner at an unknown location! He had no clue at all cos I did my research well!!!

Brought him to Dallas Restaurant at Boat Quay.

Awesome ambience.

Baby went "OMG" when he tasted it.

Went to watch "Whiteout" after dinner. Movie was intense and building up with major excitement, but ended with an ultimate ANTI-CLIMAX. Like WTH.

But Kate Beckinsale is hot. So, whatever.
