as relieved as i may be, the feeling is entangled with dissonance.
having a common "enemy" bonded the rest of us, leaving me with prospective but ephemeral friendships.

those five days.

back from arts camp 2009.
and i just had a fruitful sixteen hours of sleep.
5 days. gone. just like that.
it was a semi-emotional one, where i realised that the facade of joy, smiles and friendliness, may well crumble and fall to reveal hypocrisy and despondency.

it was truly a different experience, being a freshie back then, and an AOGL this time round.
i felt more like a baby back them, being spoon-fed and taken care of with tender loving care. no hidden emotions, no pressure. the title of "best female councillor" has yet to sink in, probably i felt there are so many other people deserving the title more than i do. im just luckier cos im blessed with fantastic councillors like josh, jeannette, muthu and keeonn (THANKS!) whom i felt were more on the ball and rahrah than me at times, so i felt assured to stone at times when i got really really tired from all these which wasn't in my blood -- leading an og, which involves physical activities. Also thanks to silin who took great care of the admin stuff as being meticulous isn't my forte too. And thanks to cheryl, wanting, yingle and yanyi, whom i know are always there to support and doing all the micro level stuff which i hardly have time to deal with.

Also needa thank juling!!! who has been there like a mother and mentor. a really great one! ((:

To jiade who believed in me and choosing me as his counterpart for the camp, thanks! The days you weren't around got me really worried, but I guess it made me feel the need to step up further and i was rewarded with an awesome experience.

To the freshies, thanks for being such an awesome bunch!! I felt really blessed to have you guys when I heard about other ogs, we were really united and wonderful okay!!! im glad that i didnt make the wrong move to pull hy into camp, as i know it'd truly enrich his future uni life, which i felt would apply to all other freshies too!

Can't wait for og outings! But gonna start working tomorrow. zzz.

the sun and the rain.

Went east coast park for some cycling with baby two days back. The weather was extremely erratic!! It was damn sunny on the way there, and the moment we alighted, it started raining. We waited for a while before the rain stopped and the sun came out. Then while we were cycling halfway, it started raining again!! But I kinda enjoy the feeling, cycling in the sun and rain, with baby! ((:

We have three hours to use the bike so we cycled kinda far. I freaked out when I saw two dogs in front and I was like screaming and u-turning and cycling franctically away from the dogs. I swear baby was laughing so hard at me!!! TSK!!!

Yesterday, we went over to his aunt's place for some family gathering. The food was awesome and we just kinda stayed put at the dining table. hahaha. played twister (i couldn't play cos i was wearing a dress so i helped turn the board hahaha). and we spent the night watching russell peters with his cousins. DAMN FREAKING FUNNY.

Caught Ghost of Girlfriends Past with baby on tuesday.
I'm still having trouble trying to decipher the title. Is it just me or what??
The movie was entertaining, but forgettable. So it's alright if you decided to give it a miss.

Virgin trip to butterfactory failed to materialise!
we wasted 90min of our time suffocating ourselves with secondhand smoking and torturing our poor feet even before hitting the dancefloor!! Yes the queue was absolutely MAD. We gave up about 11pm, headed down to attica for FREE drinks (and limited edition lollipop that whistles hahaha), then right down to zouk to meet up with pearl and friends!

I didn't realise how much I've missed mambo till I got there!! oh mannnnn.
bumped into quite a few people last night, the usuals i'd say.

We decided to comb the PC show and I must admit I totally regretted it! WASSUP WITH SINGAPOREANS?!?! They're willing to "brave the storm" just to save a few more dollars. I was supposed to get a new printer and I must say they really offered great deals, but I just can't bear to fight the crowd. OMGG.

Watched terminator salvation. And i fell asleep at the CLIMAX, aka the part where connor and wright entered skynet and all the fighting began. ARGHHH. I really couldn't control myself!!! I was forcing myself to stay awake because it was damn exciting. Despite missing the crucial part, I still think it's an awesome movie. hahaha.

Attended two 21st birthday parties last weekend!!

My ex-gv colleague, kelly XPY got me free tix for the movie DRAG ME TO HELL so baby and I went to catch it last friday!
Baby grabbed my hands so hard during the movie (as usual) I think I was more "stunned" by his sudden grabbings than the horror scenes themselves. HAHA. I would say I totally enjoy the whole movie process because as much as the movie was rather lame and over-the-top at times, it was really entertaining. An unusual horror indeed.

And we headed down to mel's party at Grandeur8 after. Met up with sally and ds and we got so lost that we wasted so much time locating the place. By the time we got there, the club house had to be closed. But they packed all the food for us and we ended up sitting by the pool eating the leftovers hahaha.

Then we all drove down to selegie for tauhuey but omg the place was damn packed!!! So we got takeouts and headed down to the subordinate area to chill! all pics with mel!!


Sat evening was cherlyn's 21st at astoria park. Met up with wanting and yanyi before that to look for her present! Great food, great company!
